In Philadelphia, the crime rate among 12 year-olds has doubled in the last five years. If you were the elected Superintendent of schools and saw that all the best efforts of your teachers and administrators was losing the battle of decency and safety, wouldn’t you take whatever efforts you could? Of course you would, and that is what Paul Vallas is doing. Read about it in this morning’s Bee.
My question is this: Why do people feel they have to oppose something that works just because it has something to do with God? Should we allow an entire city of children go to pot because of a very misguided principle?
