Tilly has CompanyJanuary 13, 2005
I reported last week about 10-year old Tilly Smith, who single-handedly saved over 100 people by recognizing the signs of a Tsunami. She had paid attention in Geography class. The National Geography society of Great Britain has announced she will receive an award in her school for her astute memory and application of geography knowledge.
But, it appears she is not the only one paying attention. Abdul Razzak of India is credited with saving more than 1,500 lives because he watched National Geographic television. Read his story here (Note: this story is published by National Geographic, but in checking news services, it turns out to be totally true).
